Lyatiss
Lyatiss is a spinoff of INRIA (French National Institute for Computer Science).
Lyatiss has been co-founded by researchers from INRIA and the Ecole Normale de Lyon (Laboratory of Parallel Computing) France.
Lyatiss's innovation and technology come from research programs on Grids, Clouds and future Internet architecture conducted with key international actors in these fields.
Faced with the rigidity of existing network infrastructure, the founding team of Lyatiss worked on issues and solutions that enable an enterprise:
• to optimize the overall infrastructure by combining the control of network and IT equipments (hardware), with a "green" approach;
• to guarantee the quality of service regardless of the traffic and configuration of the networks and servers;
• to deploy new value-added services.
Founders
Lyatiss's founding team is composed of:
Pascale Vicat-Blanc:
CS engineer and PhD, former research Director at INRIA and former head of INRIA RESO laboratory at ENS-Lyon & Semantic Networking team with Bell Labs.
Sebastien Soudan:
CS engineer and PhD, winner of the Marconi Prize "Young Scholars" in 2009.
Laurent Kott:
Head of INRIA Transfert.
Patents
The founders of Lyatiss have developed a revolutionary solution for orchestrating virtual infrastructure and filed several patents protecting this innovative approach:
• Time2Cap®: which allows programming capacity usage
• VXCap®: a model for partitioning a complex physical infrastructure
• VXAlloc®: a method for optimally allocating and adapting virtual resources
